Our seedlings are raised in polybags in open nursery beds, hardened before dispatch so they settle quickly once planted. Visitors are welcome to see the plants before buying.

Pranavi Areca Nursery is a family-owned nursery in Kodagu, Karnataka, raising healthy planting material for plantations, farms and gardens. Areca is our speciality, alongside coffee, fruit and ornamental plants.

Our story
Pranavi Areca Nursery began with a simple aim: to give growers in Kodagu and beyond planting material they can trust. Every plantation that lasts for decades starts with a healthy seedling, so that is where we put our care.
We are a family business, and we speak with every customer personally, whether they need a few plants for a home garden or thousands for a new estate.
Why Kodagu
Grown in the Western Ghats
Kodagu sits in the Western Ghats, one of the world's great biodiversity regions. Monsoon rain, rich forest soils and a long tradition of coffee, pepper and areca cultivation make it a natural home for a plantation nursery. Plants raised here are used to the region's rainfall, humidity and seasons.

We keep things honest and practical. We tell you what is available, what suits your land and what does not, and we share current photos before you order.
Plant quality
We select seed material with care, watch plants closely through the nursery stage and only dispatch plants we would be happy to plant ourselves.
Sustainability
Healthy plantations in Kodagu depend on healthy soil, shade trees and water. We encourage mixed planting, mulching and careful water use, and we are glad to share what we have learned.

Our Beginning
Pranavi Areca Nursery was started in Kodagu to supply healthy areca planting material to local growers.
Nursery Development
The nursery grew with more beds, better shade and hardening areas, and a larger areca stock.
Plant Expansion
We added coffee, pepper, avocado, jackfruit, Nerale, raspberry and flowering plants requested by our customers.
